11"x14" nupastel, ink - started off as a sketch of the photo of my albino twin (an albino man who is of no relation but looks exactly like me) and turned into an anti violence statement inspired in part by the families and friends of victims of violent crimes art exhibition at the statehouse in Boston held annually. this art show is to raise awareness about programs and how violence, domestic or on the street, can effect all of us and we need to work together to stop it.
specifically and on a less obvious note, given that the man is albino it is specifically about race and color related violence. albinos are constantly bullied and teased for having a lack of pigment or "color", much the way many of us are teased or bullied for having a particular color, and without any real reason.
