Fibrous

Fibrous

This digital photograph was one of a series taken at Keldaby Farm, an Angora goat fiber farm, in Shelburne Falls Massachusetts. This photograph struck me as particularly interesting. I did not intend to have the relationship between human and animal from the animals perspective so well portrayed. The two goats are being given water by Bob Ramirez (owner), who in this picture seems to only be made out of clothing, we cannot see any of his skin or natural features and he is strangely invading the territory of the goat. The first goat is also looking dead into the camera, and it gives the impression that this is a snapshot of a friend who's pet is sort of wandering into the right side of the picture. These types of relationships and perspectives are what make portraiture so interesting to me, and this was completely accidental, but will continue to be something I look for.
